Painting Your Pony
materials needed for painting:
a dish
water
paint
1/4 inch paint brush
10/0 paint brush
and blow dryer
First off we need to get the paint ready..this might be the hardest part, .but once you get the
hang of it you will never lose it. Put a nickle size amount of paint on your dish.

Add about 1 ml of water (or less). This should give you a good consistency ... it should be a little
thinner. If it is too thin don’t worry and just add some more paint...and if it is too thick
add some water.

Start painting your pony ( I like to start with the back legs) ... try and keep the coats even
and cover the pony. I find the hardest place to paint is in between the legs...so I spread the legs a
tiny bit and paint. You will have some brush strokes..but that is okay...
take your hair dryer and blow dry it, this will help smooth it out and make it dry faster (for those impatient people)

As you can see from my first coat I have brush stokes and it needs more coats,
Don’t forget to wet your brush once in a while and ad a bit more water to the paint
(it will start to dry out) for the final coat I like it to be the paint to be more runny
to fill in any brush strokes I might have.
After second coat

Final product

4 coats later baby bouncy is now a white pony. Don’t worry if you have some brush strokes,
all you need to do is take a fine grit piece of sand paper and sand it down.
Painting takes patience, to learn the right paint and water ratio, and also all those coats.
Don’t get frustrated...if you do put the pony down for a bit and come back to it later :-D
Now you are ready to paint your symbols
